Full Product Description +
Clearview Black Algae Killer Granular Tri-Chlor (CVTC002) is a specialized chlorine-based treatment formulated to help combat black algae, one of the most persistent and difficult forms of pool algae. Black algae embeds itself into plaster and protected surfaces, making it far more resistant to normal shocking and routine sanitization.
This granular tri-chlor product delivers concentrated chlorine directly where it’s needed, making it an effective option when standard algae treatments and normal chlorine levels are not enough.
Why Black Algae Requires a Stronger Approach
Black algae is protected by a thick outer layer that shields it from normal chlorine exposure. Even when water chemistry appears balanced, black algae can survive and continue spreading.
When black algae is present, pool owners often experience:
-
Dark, spot-like growths that resist brushing
-
Recurring algae despite proper chlorine levels
-
Increased sanitizer demand
-
Staining or surface discoloration
Granular tri-chlor allows for localized, high-strength treatment to help break through these defenses as part of a complete black algae removal process.
Granular Tri-Chlor for Focused Treatment
This product is designed to be used as a corrective treatment, not routine maintenance. The granular form allows controlled application to affected areas, supporting aggressive algae control when paired with proper brushing, circulation, and filtration.
Because tri-chlor is a stabilized chlorine, it is best used intentionally and with awareness of overall water balance.
For Use by Experienced Pool Owners and Professionals
Black algae treatment often requires multiple steps and careful monitoring of water chemistry. This product is commonly used by service professionals or experienced pool owners who understand chlorine management and algae remediation.
Always follow manufacturer directions and established pool care best practices.
