The Swimables Pentair WhisperFlo / IntelliFlo Style Diffuser & O-Ring (SW-21-927) is a replacement diffuser assembly designed for Pentair WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo series pool pumps. The diffuser plays a critical role inside the pump by directing water flow from the impeller into the pump volute, helping maintain efficient water movement and consistent hydraulic performance.

During pump operation, water exits the impeller at high velocity. The diffuser helps convert that energy into controlled flow, allowing the pump to move water smoothly through the circulation system. When the diffuser becomes cracked, warped, or worn, the pump can lose efficiency and experience reduced flow performance.

Replacing the diffuser and O-ring helps restore proper pump hydraulics and ensures a tight seal between the diffuser and pump housing.

Why Pump Diffusers Matter

The diffuser is a key internal component that helps regulate how water flows through the pump after leaving the impeller. It plays an important role in maintaining pump efficiency and preventing turbulence inside the pump housing.

When the diffuser becomes damaged or the O-ring seal deteriorates, pump performance can suffer.

Common problems caused by worn or damaged diffusers include:

• Reduced water flow or circulation
• Pump efficiency loss
• Internal water turbulence or cavitation
• Leaks around the diffuser seal

Replacing the diffuser assembly helps maintain optimal pump performance and protects internal components.

Designed for Pentair WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo Pumps

This replacement diffuser is designed for Pentair WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo pump series, commonly used in residential pool circulation systems. The diffuser works with the pump’s impeller and volute to regulate water movement inside the pump housing.

The included O-ring seal helps ensure a proper fit and prevents internal leakage between pump components.

Always confirm compatibility with your specific pump model before ordering.

Durable Construction for Pool Equipment Systems

The Swimables SW-21-927 diffuser is manufactured from durable molded materials designed to withstand the pressures and hydraulic forces inside high-performance pool pumps.

The material resists wear from continuous operation and exposure to pool water and chemicals.

Straightforward Pump Service Replacement

The diffuser installs inside the pump housing around the impeller and forms part of the internal water flow system. During installation, the included O-ring creates a secure seal between the diffuser and pump housing.

When servicing the diffuser, it is recommended to inspect surrounding pump components such as the impeller, pump seal, and housing gasket to ensure optimal pump performance.
